Objective: The professional educational program Pharmacy (Pharmacy Practice) aims to train competitive specialists for the healthcare sector. Specifically, it prepares professionals who can participate in the receipt, placement, and inventory of pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products, selection and dispensing of parapharmaceutical products, periodic stock control, packaging of ready-made medicines in small units, preparation of prescription medicines, and dispensing over-the-counter pharmaceutical products.

Employment Opportunities:
Graduates with a qualification in pharmacy can be employed as pharmacists or pharmacist assistants in:

Learning Outcomes
Graduates will be able to:

Visually inspect products.

Verify conformity with accompanying documentation.

Check product labeling and quantity.

Place products in the appropriate location.

Conduct incoming, periodic, and final stock control in pharmacies.

Repackage products from original packaging into smaller units, including labeling and marking.

Prepare solid and semi-solid medicinal forms according to prescriptions.

Apply pharmaceutical ethics and deontology in interactions with customers.

Select and provide products to customers, including consultation on parapharmaceutical product receipt, usage, and storage conditions.

Dispense over-the-counter pharmaceutical products.
Program Volume
The program includes:

3 general modules – 11 credits

26 professional modules – 109 credits

1 elective module – 3 credits

Total: 123 credits
For professional students without verified Georgian language competence, completion of Georgian Language A2 and B1 modules (30 credits) is mandatory. In this case, the total program volume is 153 credits.
