Qualification to be Awarded:
Secondary Vocational Qualification in Fashion Technology and Design
Program Goal:
The aim of the vocational education program is to prepare a competitive workforce for both local and international labor markets.
Admission Requirements:

Completion of full general education;
-
Completion of basic general education, in cases where the secondary vocational program includes the learning outcomes of the upper secondary level of general education.
Employment Opportunities:
A fashion technology designer may be employed in fashion design companies, large, medium, and small-scale garment manufacturing enterprises, or may be self-employed (individual tailoring, individual entrepreneurship, private/small business).
Upon Completion, the Graduate Will Be Able To:

Ensure the organization of a safe working environment and analyze the model;

Create sketches;

Select main and auxiliary materials required for garment production;

Technologically process garment components;
-
Operate various types of sewing machines and thermal processing equipment required for garment production;

Develop construction drawings of garments;
-
Cut and sew garments;
-
Alter clothing and repair damaged parts;
-
Prepare reports on completed work.
Program Volume:
The vocational education standard includes:
-
10 professional modules with a total of 76 credits;
-
2 general modules with a total of 7 credits;
-
1 elective module with a total of 7 credits.
Total: 90 credits.
Note:
Completion of the modules Georgian Language A2 and Georgian Language B1 (30 credits) is mandatory only for enrolled individuals who do not demonstrate proficiency in the Georgian language. For these individuals, the program begins with the Georgian language module. Accordingly, the total program volume for such students is 120 credits.
