Objective: The professional educational program aims to train competitive specialists in dental technology.

Employment Opportunities: Holders of a Secondary Vocational Qualification in Dental Studies can be employed as dental technicians in dental offices, dental laboratories, or dental clinics.
Learning Outcomes – Graduates will be able to:

Plan and organize a dental laboratory.

Check the functionality of laboratory equipment.

Choose between an occluder and articulator based on specific clinical situations.

Mount models in the occluder or articulator.

Cast plaster orientation models for full removable dentures.

Mark borders on plaster orientation models for full removable dentures.

Attach wax plates to orientation models.
-
Fabricate an individual tray using selected materials.
-
Prepare working models for partial plate dentures.
-
Fix clasps into the base.
-
Select and fix artificial teeth.
-
Engrave support teeth on models.
-
Create a detachable combined plaster model.

Assess the quality of impressions provided by the dentist.

Note: The program volume and duration differ for Georgian-speaking and non-Georgian-speaking students.
For fourth-level “Dental Technician” program students without verified Georgian language competence, completion of Georgian Language A2 and B1 modules is mandatory. In this case, the total program volume is 115 credits (85 + 30), and the duration is 87 study weeks.
To be awarded a Secondary Vocational Qualification in Dental Studies, students must complete 85 credits.
