Professional Educational Program: “Information Technology Support”
Awarded Qualification (Georgian / English) – Basic Vocational Qualification in Information Technology Support.
Objective: The program aims to develop a professional training curriculum that produces competitive specialists in the field of information technology. Graduates will become qualified specialists in personal computer hardware and software, possessing technical skills required for installation, configuration, updating, troubleshooting, optimization, diagnostics, and maintenance of hardware and operating systems. Participants will gain knowledge of key facts, principles, processes, and general concepts of the IT field, and will understand the necessary steps to solve complex tasks.

Employment Opportunities
Holders of a Basic Vocational Qualification in Information Technology Support can work as technical support specialists in any public or private organization that uses information technology. Graduates may also start their own business (self-employment).
Learning Outcomes– Graduates will be able to:

Assemble and configure a personal computer.

Install and configure an operating system.

Ensure the security of the operating system.

Understand fundamental principles and types of networks.

Distinguish network communication models (TCP/IP, OSI), the layers, associated ports, and protocols.

Set up simple wired and wireless local networks.

Assess hardware and software risks and determine preventive measures.

Identify hardware and software issues and resolve malfunctions.
Program Volume
The program comprises 61 credits.
For professional students who do not have verified competence in the Georgian language, the program begins with a Georgian language A2 module (15 credits). In this case, the total program volume is 76 credits.
